almost forgot those Amish folk!
An Amish boy and his parents finally got the chance to visit the "big" city for a national quilt competition. Father and son decided to do some exploring while mother remained in the hotel working on the finishing touches to her prized hand-sewn quilt.
Walking wide-eyed down the street they soon found themselves outside the largest building they had ever seen! Emblazoned in bright neon were the words: "Westwood Mall". Entering the magic glass doors that opened by themselves, they were amazed by almost everything they saw, but what especially caught their eyes were two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.
The boy asked, "What beith this strange apparation, Father?" The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, never in my many years on God's earth hath I ever beheld anything akin to the likes of this, I knoweth not what it is, nor its purpose unto God. Let us thereforth behold this wonder for a time to see what it serveth."
While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, an obese older woman in a wheel chair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them and entered into a small room that laid beyond. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially. They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order. Finally the walls opened up again and a gorgeous 24-year-old blonde in a mini-skirt stepped out. The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman as she walked away, said quietly to his son,
"Hasten my son! Tarry not. Goeth NOW, and fetch up thy mother!!"
