I don't know if anyone is still looking for an icon editor, but this one was just posted up at shellcity... home.kabelfoon.nl/~meijer/software/icoedit.htmlIt's called SnIco edit, and it looks to be a winner. I downloaded it, and am going to try it out tomorrow.

It took some experimentation, but it works pretty well.
I had some initial problems with displaying the created icons, until I started making them with a 256 color palette. The higher res stuff still has me confused.

I'll have to make some of my icons up as small bitmaps or gifs, so ranchoweb can host em... I'll see what I can gather:)
