I have tried many different browsers: Avant, Mozilla, Opera6, Opera7, Phoenix, IE2, and probably a few others I can remember any more.
Despite all of the bad press against IE6, and I must add here that I haven't any problems with IE6 for 4 years now, it's still the best.
So far as who's the fastest, does 2/10 of a second, maybe at best, make that much difference in loading a web page. IE6 is user friendly, highly customizable and solid as a rock. You see all these articles about security violations, but how many people do you know that have had these violations happen to them. I know of no one.
I for one have now officially quit trying new browsers out. It's hopeless, I always end up going back a few days or a few weeks later, so why waste the time trying.

Well said, couldnt agree more. One browser might be a little faster, one might take up less space, but IE6 seems to be pretty good at everything. That was one of the hardest things I had to work with when I ran Linux, Opera dont look good, Netscape is slow as a Dog...things might be different now since its been over a year since I ran Linux, but if it had a browser with the all around good performance as IE6, Linux would of been alot better. As far as the security, if you got some form of intelligence, you woudlnt have to worry about them.

I have to agree too I'm afraid. When it comes down to it, IE6 does a good job. One complaint use to be the size of it but in todays world of huge hard drives it isn't important. I've also never personally come across any of the security issues that seem to be mentioned constantly by so called experts on other specialist forums. Just my twopence worth. ;D

I tried Mozilla for a little while but went back to IE6. Haven't tried any of the others and probably won't, I'm happy with what I've got.
