Somebody help me, I have a legitmate XP Home disk with serial number and everything. It was on my mom's pc and she didn't like it, and I put 2000 on hers.
When I try to register XP on my pc it says the serial number is invalid. I called Microsoft and she told me that since my XP disk was labeled OEM that it would only work in the pc that it came with, yeah I know, it took me a while to stop laughing too. I asked her that if I changed the mobo and cpu in the original pc would XP still work and she said as long as it was in the same enclosure. Man, talk about someone who didn't even have a clue. Anyone need what you have to tell them to get a valid serial changed?

Well, I dont think this is legit, but wont hurt nothing. I got a PC here in my house that is fried, and it had windows xp home, its not been registered in a long time, and I could give you the key and you can register it cuz I just use "invalid" ones As soon as the person got the pc, i put windows xp pro on it, so it was only registered once about 2 years ago. Pm me or respond here if you want to try it.
